Opening the first session of the week on July 17, most Asian stocks were quite quiet, when new data showed that China's economy grew less than expected in the second quarter of 2023. The Kospi of Korea and Shanghai (China) both recorded a decrease of 0.35% and 0.87%, respectively. Today, the Japanese market is closed for a holiday, the Hong Kong market is closed due to the storm.

According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), in the first six months of 2023, the export value of vegetables and fruits reached USD2.7 billion, up 60.1% over the same period in 2022. In particular, durian has risen to the top export position with a value of USD850 million, next to dragon fruit with more than USD310 million.

Accordingly, VPB registered to offer SMBC 1,190,500,000 shares of VPB with the offering price of VND30,159/share. The total amount of money mobilized is expected to be VND35,904,289,500,000. SMBC's expected ownership rate after the offering is 15.005% of charter capital.
