The Dow Jones index continued to decline on Wednesday (September 13), as investors considered US August inflation data to be hotter than forecast. 3M was the Dow Jones stock that fell the most, down more than 5.7%. Caterpillar shares fell 2%. Meanwhile, Apple shares lost more than 1%, falling for the second consecutive session. On the other hand, gains in technology stocks helped boost the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite.
