US stocks fell on Thursday under pressure from rising bond yields and anxiety as new data showed persistent inflationary pressure in the US. Data released by the US Department of Labor on Thursday showed that the consumer price index (CPI) increased 0.4% over the previous month and 3.7% over the same period last year. This result is stronger than Dow Jones' forecast of an increase of 0.3% and 3.6%, respectively.
