Asian stock markets rose broadly on Friday as technology stocks recovered from sharp declines. However, this week, most regional indexes were still decrease. South Korea's KOSPI index rose 0.16% on Friday, but was among the worst performers this week, falling 2.7% as technology stocks posted sharp declines. The decline in Japanese tech stocks kept the Nikkei 225 on track for a 1% weekly decline, even as the index rebounded 1.27% on Friday.

In the October 26 session, the SBV withdrew an additional VND8,250 billion through the 28-day bill channel. This is the transaction session where the State Bank has attracted the most money since October 18. The winning interest rate also reached its highest level since the State Bank began reopening the bill issuance channel. On the same day, VND20,000 billion of bonds issued on September 28 also matured, injecting liquidity back into the market.
