The stock market was covered in red during today's session, at one point approaching 1,250. However, thanks to the active demand and slowdown in selling momentum, VN-Index pulled back towards the end of the session and only edged down 6 points. The market was mixed, in which retail, chemicals, and automotive were the most positive sectors.

Most Asia markets extended losses on Thursday ahead of a slew of economic data from the region on Friday. South Korea’s Kospi lead losses with a fall of 1.6%. Japan’s Nikkei followed with a 1.3% decrease, dragged by semiconductor and industrial stocks.

SJC gold prices fluctuated violently on May 30th. After plunging by VND4 million early in the morning, gold prices rose back and ended the session at VND86.3 - 88.8 million/tael at 15:30 PM.
