European shares ended lower on Wednesday, pressured by losses in real estate and technology stocks, while UK stocks were buoyed as investors digested its inflation data. Data showed UK inflation returned to its 2% target in May for the first time in nearly three years. U.S markets were closed on Wednesday.

Oil prices dipped on Wednesday after hitting seven-week highs. The US dollar struggled for direction on Wednesday while the euro remained close to its recent lows on concerns that a new government in France could weaken fiscal discipline. In the domestic market, as of June 14, credit growth reached 3.79% compared to the end of 2023.
