Three main US stock indexes increased in the first session of the week as investors bet that the failed assassination of former President Donald Trump would increase his chances of being elected in November. Among the 11 major sectors of the S&P 500, energy shares enjoyed the biggest gain, while utilities were laggards. VinFast (VFS) shares fell 4.3% after the company announced it had delivered 21,747 electric cars in the first half of this year, an increase of 92% over the same period last year.
