The S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed lower on Tuesday, weighed down by weak chip and megacap shares ahead of earnings from heavyweight tech companies this week. Microsoft fell 0.89% ahead of its quarterly results. Microsoft Corp.’s cloud-computing revenue growth slowed in the latest quarter, and it’s expected to slow further in the current quarter. Apple edged up 0.26%, but Amazon slipped 0.81% and Meta shed 0.54% on valuation concerns.
