On August 15, the central exchange rate announced by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) between the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and the US Dollar (USD) was 24,254 VND, down 6 VND compared to the previous session. The buying and selling prices of USD at many commercial banks also decreased sharply.

MBB: On August 13, the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MBBank) updated the list of shareholders owning 1% or more of charter capital. Compared to the list announced on July 15, there were 2 new shareholders revealed: J.P.Morgan Securities and Nordea 1, SICAV. These two shareholders own a total of 133 million MBB shares, equivalent to 2.53% of the bank's charter capital.
