Wall Street's three major indexes closed down around 1% on Monday as traders tamped down bets for Fed interest-rate easing. Further dampening sentiment on Monday was an order from a U.S. judge for market heavyweight Alphabet's Google to overhaul its mobile-app business to give Android phone users more options. Apple shares -2.25%, Amazon -3.06%.

Oil prices settled more than 3% higher on Monday, with Brent surpassing USD80 per barrel for the first time since August as the increased risk of a region-wide Middle East war jolted investors out of record bearish positions amassed last month.
