Wall Street was in the red on November 14, as a cautious speech from the Fed Chairman on the possibility of a rate cut shook investor confidence. Following this comment, the probability of the Fed cutting interest rates by 0.25% at the December meeting dropped sharply from 82.5% to 62%. The producer price index (PPI) in October increased 0.2%, while the core PPI (excluding food and energy) increased more than expected.
