Oil prices rose nearly 2% amid escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine as the two countries launched missiles at each other, raising concerns in the market about crude oil supply if the conflict spreads. President Putin stated that Russia had launched a medium-range hypersonic missile at an Ukraina military facility and warned that Moscow could target military facilities of any country with weapons against Russia.
