Asia-Pacific markets were mixed on Monday after a volatile trading week worldwide. Over the weekend, China's consumer inflation dropped below zero for the first time in 13 months due to seasonal distortions and deflationary pressures. The consumer price index declined 0.7% in February from a year earlier, compared with a 0.5% gain in the previous month, data from the National Bureau of Statistics revealed.

Continuing the upward trend from last weekend, SJC gold price increased by 100,000 - 200,000 VND/tael at noon today, officially surpassing 93 million VND/tael. In the currency market, the State Bank of Vietnam net injected more than VND16,000 billion through the OMO channel with a term of 7 days.
