U.S. futures rose after Trump’s pledge to pause tariffs on some trading partners for 90 days spurred a massive surge on Wall Street. The moves come after a historic surge on the Street, where the S&P 500 soared more than 9% to see its third-largest gain in a single day since World War II. The DJIA also saw its biggest percentage advance since March 2020, while the Nasdaq scored its biggest one-day gain since January 2001 and second-best day on record. At the same time he increased tariffs on goods from China to 125%.

Oil prices climbed more than 5% on Wednesday, bouncing back from four-year lows earlier in the session, after U.S. President Donald Trump said he would further increase tariffs on China but pause the tariffs he announced last week for most other countries.
