By the end of Friday’s session (April 25), U.S. stocks had risen for four straight days despite lingering investor concerns over tariffs. The S&P 500 gained 0.74% to 5,525.21 points, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 1.26% to 17,282.94 points. The Dow Jones edged up 20 points (0.05%) to 40,113.50 points. Alphabet shares climbed 1.5% after reporting better-than-expected first-quarter revenue and profit. Tesla shares surged 9.8%, while other major tech stocks like Nvidia and Meta Platforms rose 4.3% and 2.7% respectively.

According to six sources cited by Reuters, European Central Bank (ECB) policymakers are likely to proceed with an interest rate cut at their regular meeting in June 2025, as Eurozone inflation continues to ease. However, the expected cut would be a modest 0.25 percentage points, rather than a more aggressive reduction.
