The S&P 500 rose for a third consecutive session as investors grew hopeful for a positive outcome from U.S.–China trade discussions. At the close of trading, the S&P 500 gained 0.55%, the Nasdaq rose 0.63%, and the Dow Jones increased 0.25%. The rally was led by Tesla, as tensions between Donald Trump and Elon Musk appeared to ease.

The World Bank (WB) has sharply lowered its global growth forecast for 2025 to 2.3%, a 0.4 percentage point cut from its previous estimate. According to the WB, higher tariffs and increased uncertainty have become significant "headwinds" for most of the world’s economies.

VN-Index almost completely erased yesterday’s losses as investors grew optimistic about a positive outcome from the U.S.–China trade talks. Proprietary trading continued to post strong net buying of VND439 billion, mainly in HPG (VND54 billion), MWG (VND37 billion), and FPT (VND28 billion). On the other hand, they net sold VHM (VND23 billion) and CTG (VND11 billion).
