U.S. stocks surged on Monday (October 13), rebounding from the sell-off on October 10 after President Donald Trump declared that trade relations with China “will be fine.” Nearly 80% of S&P 500 component stocks closed higher on Monday, signaling a broad-based recovery. Oracle shares jumped more than 5%, Nvidia gained 3%, and Broadcom surged nearly 10% after officially announcing a partnership with OpenAI on Monday morning.

Gold prices surpassed the 4,100 USD/oz mark for the first time yesterday and are now trading around 4,130 USD/oz. Stable central bank gold purchases, strong ETF inflows, U.S.–China trade tensions, and expectations of lower U.S. interest rates have provided structural support for the market.
