Wall Street rose for the second consecutive session as a series of developments lifted investor expectations that Fed would cut interest rates in December. Data released overnight showed that September retail sales came in lower than forecast. In addition, optimism increased after Bloomberg reported that Kevin Hassett, Director of the White House National Economic Council, is being considered as a leading candidate for the next Fed Chair. Mr. Hassett is seen as someone likely to steer the Fed toward a lower interest rate regime.

Oil prices fell more than 1% on Tuesday (Nov 25) after reports quoted a U.S. official saying that Ukraine had agreed to a peace deal. A Ukrainian official told Reuters that Kyiv supports the framework of a peace plan following talks with the U.S. in Geneva, but some of the most sensitive issues of the framework still need to be discussed between the presidents of the two countries.

Proprietary trading desks net bought for the third consecutive session, with a total value of VND 68 billion yesterday, mainly including POW (VND 64 billion), NT2 (VND 30 billion), and GMD (VND 27 billion).
