U.S. stock market rose in Wednesday’s trading session (December 24), with the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones closing at new record highs. One of the strongest gainers of the session was Nike, which jumped 4.6% after Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that he had purchased shares of the sportswear company. Two other notable names were Micron Technology and Citigroup, which rose 3.8% and 1.8%, respectively.
