US stocks recovered in the first session of the week when there were hopes of a ceasefire in the Middle East. Axios reported that the U.S., Iran and a group of regional mediators are discussing terms for a potential 45-day ceasefire that could lead to a permanent end to the war, although the chances of reaching a partial agreement before the April 7 deadline are very low.
