Asian markets were mixed as investors ignored fresh doubts about the fragile ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran after President Donald Trump warned that the deal was in a "critical" state. The yield on 10-year Japanese government bonds hit its highest level since 1997, rising to a record high of 2.5% after the Bank of Japan meeting minutes revealed that some board members think the BOJ should raise interest rates soon.

The domestic exchange rate fell sharply when on the black market, the USD price fell to 26,350-26,380 VND/USD bought and sold. The domestic gold price soared to 1.8 million VND/ton at the beginning of the session and then quickly reversed down to 165.5 million VND/ton.
