World gold prices were mixed in the morning session on Thursday (14/5) after falling for the second consecutive session the previous day as inflation concerns weakened expectations of interest rate easing. The producer price index (PPI) rose 1.4% in April - the largest monthly increase since March 2022 and much higher than the 0.5% increase predicted by economists surveyed by Dow Jones.
