U.S. stocks recorded a mixed session, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite falling on the back of technology stocks while the Dow Jones rose on positive moves from the Middle East. Shares of Alphabet (Google) fell 5% on concerns about the departure of AI kernels. Amazon and Meta (Facebook) lost 4.8% and 2.3%, respectively. Microsoft shares also fell 3%. SpaceX also followed suit with a 16% decline, marking its third consecutive negative trading session.

World gold prices were steady in the morning session on Tuesday (June 23) after recovering after hitting a more than one-week low the previous day, as progress in peace talks between the US and Iran put pressure on oil prices and eased concerns about inflation.
