Major markets in the region are differentiated. The most prominent is Japan's Nikkei 225 index and South Korea's KOSPI both rebounded very strongly, recovering violently after the plunge of semiconductor stocks in the previous session, when demand massively bottomed back to chip stocks. China's Shanghai Composite Index inched slightly in the green, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index went against the downtrend.
