US stocks closed the first half of the year with strong results amid a cooling Middle East conflict and AI spending continuing to be strong. The rally was supported by the growth of shares of chipmaking companies. Shares of Nvidia rose 2.6%, while Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) rose 7.7% and Intel advanced by 6%.
