In the session of 06/07, the market sank in the red when the electricity group simultaneously decreased the floor and foreign investors net sold a record at VIC, causing the VN-Index to lose nearly 19 points. Banks were the strongest minus group today. Oil and gas and the power group also put great pressure on the general index.

The price of SJC gold bars was flat at 148.40 - 151.40 million VND/ton (buy - sell), unchanged compared to the end of last week. World gold inched slightly to the $4,180-4,190 per ounce area, recording its first week of gains since the end of May thanks to expectations that the US Federal Reserve will be less hawkish after unfavorable employment data and cooling world energy prices. The difference between the domestic and world gold prices is still high, about 19 million VND per ton.
