The main indexes of US stocks simultaneously fell in the session on July 13 when the US President announced the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. The latest escalation comes after Iran and the United States exchanged airstrikes over the weekend. Tehran has targeted U.S. facilities in several Gulf states and announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Semiconductor stocks were under pressure, with SK Hynix down 9%, Micron Technology down 4%, while Sandisk's shares lost 12%.

Crude oil prices continued to rise sharply in the morning session on Tuesday (July 14) after the news that the United States will reimpose a naval blockade on the entire Iranian coastline, ports and oil export facilities, and apply to all vessels regardless of nationality.
