The Dow Jones index rose more than 250 points in the session on August 5 and set a new record thanks to strong business results and the rally of Nvidia shares. In the opposite direction, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite turned down. Nvidia shares jumped more than 3% after Elon Musk announced that SpaceX will only use Nvidia's processors to build artificial intelligence (AI) computing infrastructure in the future. However, SpaceX shares fell more than 13% after the rocket company released its first quarterly report since listing in June.
