The cooling trend of bond yields, driven by expectations that the Fed will not raise interest rates and a stronger yen, helped the main US stock indexes record another session of gains. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note closed at 4.77%, falling after Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller said he was "inclined" to keep interest rates unchanged, unless there are surprises in upcoming inflation data.
