U.S. stocks ended the session with positive results, boosted by semiconductor stocks, after weaker-than-expected June inflation data. Shares of Goldman Sachs led gains among notable bank stocks, up 9% after the bank reported better-than-expected results. Two major banks, JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America, also announced second-quarter results, helping stocks rise more than 2% and nearly 2%, respectively.

On July 14, VN-Index broke through the 1,775 mark at the beginning of the session before the Middle East turbulence and then suddenly retreated spectacularly, closing at the peak of the session at 1,806.63 points. Banking and retail play an auxiliary role, contributing more support to the index. In the opposite direction, the whole Vingroup family is the strongest minus group.
